Curved Element Facet Specification (During modeling OR prior to IFC export)

Curved Element Facet Specification (During modeling OR prior to IFC export)

Due to internal workings of Revit, upon exporting ifc files, curved edges get exported with straight segments.

Currently there is no was to control the number of segments and this results in minor to GROSS misrepresentation of curved geometry. For double sided elements like beams and walls, resulting ifc geometry would have different numbers of segments on one face of the element and significantly different number of segments on the other face. For example, inside face of a wall would have so many segments that it looks almost perfect curve, while the outside face of wall would have so few that it would look like an octagon with a circular arc cutout of its middle.

For elements like slab edges it's even worse since it seems to use as few segments as it can upon ifc export, so much so that using the resulting ifc for field layout is impossible.

Please bring in an option to control or specify the number of facets/segments to use for curved element prior to ifc export.
