Cross Laminated Timber version of "Advance Steel"
I'm looking for a program like Advance Steel but for Cross laminated timber panels with each panel to be able to output a .nc file. Does this exist yet? if not, why? is someone at least working on it?
That's how I feel. I'm really annoyed that I can't use the tools shown in the attached pictures for wooden objects. I urgently need these tools! Is there anyone who knows how to use these tools by faking the material or by another ? Why is all this limited to steel? Please Autodesk, release these tools also for wooden constructions!
Yep, 2024 version is already out and still nothing for mass timber except whatever we can make up on our own. I would love it if the steel clip angles and shear plates would recognize glulam beams. And if I want to do ANY kind coping, notching, etc, I have to use a bunch of cutting void families. That in particularly makes mass timber in Revit painful when so many joints use notches in support members for beams or panels to bear, or for CLT panel half-laps and surface splines. I must admit, I am rather jealous when I see our manufacturer quickly editing CLT-to-glulam joints in seconds what would take me 10 minutes in Revit (assuming I didn't have to create a new family first).
