Crop Regions if you use any with varying angles the views go haywire

Crop Regions if you use any with varying angles the views go haywire

allow crop regions to crop varying angles and multiple lines.

we currently have lots of funky shaped floor plans and are have to use a wipe out over the bits we want to hide due to crop region

having a limitation on what it can crop.

it also seems to increase file sizes slightly.....

thanks!

Hi Simon,

It sounds like you're talking about the issue with diagonal crop lines causing HUGE & SLOW PDF creation, as mentioned here:

Large PDF files when printing to PDF from Revit in certain views/sheets

If that's the case, it has been fixed (FINALLY) in Revit 2017. For those with projects stuck in 2016 (like mine), I've found the best WORKAROUND to be zigzag lines (for the diagonals), since Masking Regions need to be manually hidden in all adjacent (sibling) views, and trying to find an updated PDF writer that fixes the size problem can introduce other issues.

Can I mark this as "Implemented" as suggested above?  Non rectangular crop regions have been around for a number of releases now and the issue around them causing large PDF file size has been resolved.
