Crop Region Line Styles

Crop Region Line Styles

Allow users to set line styles for each segment of a crop region.

Currently, if one wants to use the crop region boundary as a heavy cut line in an interior elevation view one must override the crop region line weight by element. If the interior elevation involves break lines (room extends beyond the bounds of the view) the crop region must be hidden and a masking region "donut" must be used.

Allowing users to set line styles for individual segments of crop regions would simplify documentation and eliminate a repetative, low-value activity that happens in every project.

Just right click on the border, and select Override Graphic in View/By Element and change the line pattern

Yes, I am doing this at the moment and seems like a waist of time. We really need ways to be faster at what we do. (Time is money). If we already need to create a crop view and adujst the crop view, redoing this with the mask region is double dipping. Having both options would be great! The mask region is effective for some drafting items, but lineweigths on crop views will also be effective in othe drafting settings.

2024... and we still adding dash lines by hand on the crops....

I would very much like to have "object styles and "category" control of the crop region...especially for interior elevations. I am considering just creating sectional elevations instead of interior elevations...honestly may look better and provide some additional context (like cutting through a window or opening).
