Why in the world Revit doesn't yet have this is beyond me but Revit really needs family and drafting view file size at a minimum available in the API. There should be a file size column in the project browser and analysis tools built into the software. The fact that when a project gets big we are supposed to make educated guesses as to why with the help of 3rd party tools is crazy.
