Change Order of overlapped views on a sheet

Change Order of overlapped views on a sheet

Revit should be able to allow the user Change Order of overlapped views on a sheet with "Send to Back" or "bring to top" options.
These are basic functionalities which are in most of the design softwares and it is almost unbelievable that revit doesn't.

When you have two or more views on the same sheet, it would be nice to select which view to be in front and back. Maybe a "move to front/back" button or similar, or perhaps a layer option?

still a problem. please add this function!

Yes, please add this function. It would be very helpful if the user could arrange the layering of viewports; 'send to back', 'bring to front', etc.

Congrats! We think this is a great idea, so we've decided to add it to our roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion!

This question has been running since 2017. I'm now working with version 2023. Is this solved yet? If it is....it's not easy to find. Makes you wonder what you pay for doesn't it?

Not solved yet... in R24 or R25 I believe.   Can anybody vouch for this?

It's not done in 24 that I can find.

What was done for sort order (for 24 & 25) was in "drafting views" select an object & you'll get an option to send to front/back.

All but useless for anything outside of that environment.

What they have not done is address the original topics request (even though the idea/request was accepted to be implemented).

Original Post was to allow views on a sheet to be sent to front/back.

eg: an overlay of a ceiling layout view placed over a floor plan needs to be selected to move forward/back to get the right visual affect (or better yet, in this example allow a ceiling grid to be viewable in a floor plan in the first place).

@Trev_Smith The feature has been added to the roadmap, but not yet implemented. We'll probably get an update message once it's implemented.

Only workaround now is to place the worksheets on order of appearance (first being below). Once placed, the draw order is fixed. Removing a view from the sheet completely and placing it again will update the draw order and make it draw on top.

I didn't see an option to follow this thread, so adding a comment so I can see the update if/when this actually gets implemented.
