CALLOUT ANGLES ON SHEET

CALLOUT ANGLES ON SHEET

Hi,

I'm trying to draw a system detail of a certain area on the plan. When i set my callouts and drag them onto the sheet, Revit only provides 90 degrees rotation option on the sheet. This is a problem especially when you are working on a project which has diagonal edges. Even if i sketch the callout crop boundary diagonally, it is not possible to rotate the callout freely on the sheet. Plus, annotation crop doesn't work diagonally, i mean i cannot edit them as i edit callout crop boundary, so i have to allign all the grids manually one by one. This causes lots of area loss on sheets. I'm using the latest version (Revit 2017+service pack 2 installed). I hope Revit team can solve it for the upcoming releases. You may also check the attached jpg file for a better explanation.

Thanks!

Turns out, there is an option to rotate the view within the callout, which solves my problem.

Thanks!

Hi,

I think the solution is to create your detail view separately so that you can rotate it to the desired angle by rotate the view’s crop region. Then, you can create a callout referencing the detail view you just created.
