calculate the total areas for the structural plate joints

I know we can create a schedule of the quantity of bolts and nuts which are placed at structural joint, but could we also have a feature to create a schedule of the total areas for gusset plates or column base plates?

Currently we are able to calculate the total areas of those plate connections for generic models; however, we cannot calculate the total areas for the structural plate joints.
