C Channels display incorrectly in elevation

C Channels display incorrectly in elevation

We just upgraded to 2024 from 2021 and noticed the channel family STILL doesn't display correctly when you are looking at a channel from the front (toe out towards you) in elevation. It appears as those you are looking at it from the backside. Surely, I'm not the only one who has noticed this issue. Anyone know a fix for it?

Attached is a screen shot of a channel in plan as well as elevation. Both are the same part.

The dashed line you are seeing is most likely a symbolic line in the family. Symbolic lines do not let you distinguish between front and back, they will always show.

Edit the family and delete those lines, then make sure the visibility of the extrusion for the Channel is set how you want it.

Also the profile of the channel is a bit of an issue because there are no hard edges for revit to see when the legs are facing towards you. This means that if you are looking at the front or back it will look the same.
