In Revit 2021, realistic views were 'enhanced' to include raytraced (soft shadows).
Our Architectural practice very frequently uses realistic views for elevation and section drawings, but much prefer the previous hard-edged shadows. For orthographic drawings, in my view, harder edged shadows look tidier and much more crisp.
Upgrading any projects from Revit 2020 or earlier to Revit 2021/22 now means the drawing appearance changes.
We are now forced to use consistent colours mode for Revit 2021 and 2022 projects, and so can't use realistic materials.
Please bring back to option to use sharp shadows in realistic views!
