Better control of Rebar sets

Better control of Rebar sets

If you i.e have a rebar set consisting of 10 bars with a length of 10 meters and you want to change the number of bars to 12, and change the length to 12 meters. You can't control what end of the bar will be expanded by 2 meters, and you can't control at what side the rebar set will expand by 2 bars.

You should be able to control at what direction the rebar set expands without having to mirror the whole set. For example like "flip rebar set". Same should be applied to the bar length, so that you can control at what end the bar will expand if you change the length in the properties window.

I think we should have an individual window with such options for rebars. Something graphically intuitive like in Allplan or Tekla. In the (docked) Properties window there should be Quick properties, but Advanced Rebar properties should be in a dedicated window.

Congrats! We think this is a great idea, so we've decided to add it to our roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great to see this feature on the roadmap! I hope there will be an option to see the the start-end orientation of both

  • the rebar set
  • and the rebar shape, especially straight bars

Seeing the orientation in advance would make users more productive in eliminating possible double work and tedious mirroring/flipping.

Maybe a UI similar to Modify Beam/Column join arrows, or Analytical models. Nevermind, I trust Autodesk for great UI design.
