Automatically open section views

Automatically open section views

Hello

Simple idea here, but why not automatically open section views when they are created?

I mean, when you made one, what you want is to see it and work on it.

Why add extra steps (succeed in selecting the section line, right click, go to the view...)?

Just open it.

I wouldn't want it to happen straight away as still need to adjust the width, depth, line ends, etc. But if while it was selected there was a button on the ribbon that took you to the view, and if double click worked when the section was already selected that would be great.

I like this idea and voted for it, but I think this should be an option that one could select while creating the sections.  Similar to the Lock option while using Align.  Sometimes you're just going around the building and putting in all your sections and then you'll go back and start looking at each section in turn.  You would not want the section to auto open in a case like that.

@MichaelWarwick7522  With a right click on the section marker, you can select go to view that way.  Two clicks instead of one, but you don't have to go to the ribbon.

FYI, I'm now using Pangolin Magic Section, and it's almost perfect.

There is a third click to adjust the depth, so there's no need to choose a 'right-to-left' or 'left-to-right' direction.

Revit doesn't recalculate the whole project as you move the mouse, and the view opens automatically and immediately. It's not like the Revit section, which takes 5 minutes to open...
