Allow worksets to be scheduled

Allow worksets to be scheduled

Will allow each discipline to backcheck elements placed on the wrong workset.

Some of the model categories are being excluded from a multi-Category Schedule .
What’s missing are the system families such as Walls, Floors, etc.

On the other hand, a multi-Category Material Takeoff does contain materials of system families.

It's confusing and illogical.

It would be great to have the possibility to create a schedule with a filter by worksets. So you should be able to add the field 'Workset' in a schedule.

Allow the creation of schedules which can include all object category's including system family's.

currently system family's can't be included in multi category schedules.

This means model data checks on generic parameters need multiple schedules.

Opening this would intheory also allow more powerful relation scheduling.

For example door-wall, fitting wall. All objects relating to a space etcetera.

The Multi Category Schedules only show Component Families and a few MEP System Families. If System Families was included it would give a Holistic view of the model.

Totally agree.

We use the worksets very active in our use of Revit, eg. to save expired elements out of sight (but available).

E.g. in a project we recently made a lot of beams with 3D reinforcement before the client decided to change everything. We wanted to save these beams in case he changed his mind back again later. Therefor we put them in the workset called "expired".

But this gave us problems in schedules. Therefore it should be available as a filteroption.

Agreed. "Multi" should be all categories, not limited to non-system families.

You can visually distinguish model worksets by using worksharing display settings, kindly check the following link

Agree, we usually use workset to sort out disciplines, duct, pipe sprinkler in our MEP models. so sorting out all objects in a specific workset in a schedule would be very helpful.

A visual check might be good but, making a schedule and have the ability to filter by workset can be effective in so many ways.

"Please, enable ducts listed with their size parameters in multi-category schedules."

Agree. We need it desperately on our Projects.

same idea as https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/allow-worksets-to-be-scheduled/idi-p/6561759

This would help us trying to clean up the mess of families and types with " 1" and " 2" suffixes (created when views are inserted with different family versions - see Add option to select which type to use when inserting duplicate type). We would be able to schedule Detail Components, etc. with the Worksets field to see what views they're in (so they can be cleaned up).

We need this so we can export a single schedule to do our estimation. Revit says it includes everything, but sneakily excludes Walls, Floors, Roof, Ceilings, Stairs and Railings.

I really don't like how it gives the impression that everything is included, but it's not. If you're going to be weird and inconsistent, at least be clear about it.

Speaking of which, annotations are not included or scheduled, but I would like to schedule annotations, so I can track our of standards in a smart BIM manner with automated schedules.

And allow us to select which categories are to be in the multi-category schedule. Provide more control than 'all-or-nothing'.
