Allow the keypress ‘U’ to undo the last segment drawn.

When drawing something which requires a chained line – say a wall, or annotation lines, or ceiling perimeter (for the example below we’ll assume a wall).

If your drawing a load of walls chained one after the other, it’s easy to accidentally click on the wrong point and draw the line in the wrong place.

When this happens you have to stop drawing, cancel the command, erase the line, and the start the command again and then draw from the endpoint of the previous line.

I’d like for the user to have the ability to hit ‘U’ which would undo the last segment drawn without stopping the command, the user could then simply carry on drawing.

AutoCAD does when draw lines and its very useful.

Or alternatively, have ctrl+z  not deselect the command

I tried pressing ctrl-Z - but it cancelled the command - the user has to restart and pick the last endpoint to continue...

I'm looking for U to undo the last segment transparently the same as it does in AutoCAD.
