Adding Apply/Unapply Button to Filter Tab In Visibility Graphics

Adding Apply/Unapply Button to Filter Tab In Visibility Graphics

Dear Autodesk,

I can see an advantage for the creation of an on/off feature for added filters in the visibilty graphics menu.

This will allow for better management of view templates. And would diminish time needed to set overrides.

Hope you can see the advantages too.

Kind regards,

Isn't that exactly what the Visibility check mark does? Uncheck the filter and you won't see the filter effects anymore. Select multiple filters and you can uncheck them all with a single click.

If you are looking for something like a "global" filter (affecting all views at once), that's called Object Styles.

Hello,

I was afraid I would get this comment but no I don't mean the same as the visibilty checkbox. this would mean that the elements that meet the criteria will be hidden. But I dont't mean to hide them just to switch the overides on or off.

@Anonymous : I see. Maybe you can create an "opposite" filter and name it "No Overrides" (having no overrides, of course). I just don't know what happens if you make visible both filters (Overrides and No Overrides). There should be an additional visibility parameter that sets / allows only one filter at a time, something like "No Overrides" visible = NOT "Overrides" and viceversa.

We now have the ability in Revit 2021 to enable or disable a view filter in a view.  More information can be read here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2021/ENU/?guid=GUID-DEE12EC2-9F2D-40C0-AB42-6AADFEA577A8.

Thank you
