Add a visual map of nesting when editing a nested family

When you are in the family editor, editing a family that is nested, and click to upload it back to the model, you are given a list of families and models, without any information on what is nested into what. all that are open in this session are listed as options. The user could use some helpful information here. A graphic of what is nested into what, and where this family should be loaded back into, is critical.

Great idea. The family editor is what really makes Revit so powerful, at least for me, but it is not the most intuitive environment to work in. Granted, it is not a trivial process and some degree of familiarity with the tool should be expected and required but still, anything to make the process easier, more streamlined would be greatly welcome.

While we're at it, it would be nice if there was no difference between editing in the family editor and editing families in place. The distinction makes the process confusing, especially to the beginner.
