Ability to change the family associated to a noteblock.

Ability to change the family associated to a noteblock.

Currently If an annotation family is replaced in a project, any associated noteblock schedule will appear as blank.  We then have to recreate the schedule.  It would be great if the 'family' is an option in the properties that can be reassigned if necessary.

Or be able to copy formatting from one schedule to another (using the View Template dialog, or whatever) - whichever way is easier to implement.

Revit would have problems (either way) if the families were significantly different, but I'd like to see it at least TRY. I setup a schedule (adjusted column widths, positions, etc.) and want to use it for a 2nd family that's similar. Desired behavior w/ this wish: when format is copied (or family is changed), Revit should attempt to match Fields from one family to another based on name (and keep the relevant formatting). If something's missing in the 2nd family, ask if there's another parameter to map it to (best) or just remove it (having the common ones remain is still a good start).

With a Note Block schedule once the initial annotation family is selected, it cannot be adjusted. It would be great to see what family is used for that schedule, and even better to be able to adjust it to something else if needed.

This came into play recently when we were working with a client's template/schedule/family. They had a template with a standard set of annotation in it to populate a schedule and then we had a project that was outdated for that data. When our user copied the newer information from the client's template, Revit updated the family name to add a 1 at the end because that family already existed. So the new schedule wasn't working, because it was setup to see the family without the 1 at the end.

It would have been really simple to just adjust the annotation symbol family that the Note Block schedule was looking at and go about our business. Instead, I just removed the family and schedule from the project and then copied it over again. This created left the family name the same, which resulted in things working as they should.

Even if it doesn't make sense to be able to CHANGE the family in use in the schedule, it would sure be nice to see what IS being used, if only to troubleshoot what is going on with the schedule.

...also - it would be nice to be able to associate tag multiple families with the note block
