RevitLT and Workshared Models

Within our company engineers view our workshared models via Revit LT. This normally works fine as RevitLT appends the _LT extension to the end of the file name to create its own local copy. I have been having issues recently where LT just wont append the _LT extension to the file name and opens up directly into the central model. Which is not ideal.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Which release of Revit are you working with and is it specific projects or random ones?
