Revit Local File Access

We are experiencing a strange problem. I believe this started after the installation of collaborate for Revit. Now when we initiate a project on our local server we are having problems with people being able to create their own local files. The option will be greyed out for some people. This is creating a huge problem with internal projects. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi,

Sorry for your problems.

- "option will be greyed out for some"

- - does this happen on the same files that others can create local from?

- - I assume that the file is saved as a work-shared central file? 😉

(Note that if this is a cloud model, this option will be grayed out and the creation of the 'local' files is handled automatically.)

Could you send me/post here a

- Revit journal that shows the problems

- Revit.exe.config from the Revit program directory.

Journals: C:\Users\[WindowsUser]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit [RevitVersiom]\Journals

Revit App: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit [version]

almost it's due to the file is workshared , you may have to detach it and make it central again
