I have imported a DWG file in my Revit drawing. My issue is that I can see the DWG file in all my views. I want to se the DWG in only one specific View. How can I turn the DWG of in the other views without going in to one and one view? Is it a easyer way I can do it?

Hi there.

What you can do is when you import a CAD file, check the Current view only checkbox.

This will only import the CAD file in the current open view of you project and will not be seen in the other views.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for the question @isabelle.aamdal, and welcome to the Autodesk forums!

If you are looking to use the DWG as a detail (not model geometry), then the option that Jerous (@jrobrador19) suggested should work well for you (i.e. remove the current import, and load it again using the “Current view only” option)

However, if you (or others reviewing this thread in the future) want to be able to take advantage of the DWG’s 3D geometry within the Revit model (and just turn the visibility of the import off by default in other views), then one approach for this would be to create a View Template, that would adjust only the display of Imported Categories (turning off the display of the DWG), and then apply this to all the views that you don’t want the DWG displayed.
