Unable to see linked structural model in callouts

Hi,

My structural Model is linked into my architectural model and is visible correctly in main plans and sections. When I try to take callouts, the structure disappears even though I am using the same view template. I have tried different templates, changing the view settings of the linked structural model - no good. What am I missing?

Hi @Sahay_R

Are these callouts in section or elevation views? If you check the Far Clip settings in the callout properties, make sure they are set to no clip or a value that extends past the linked model.

Hi Andrea. Thanks for your replies. I did have Michael from Tech Support look at my file. The problem is that the linked file is a .dgn, which was inserted as an in-place mass so that joists would display correctly in sections. Hence the issues with the callouts. The workaround that we devised was to duplicate the view that displayed correctly, crop it, and have the callout reference the duplicate view. Definitely painful.

I did try to replicate this situation in 2017. The callouts worked perfectly, but the joists still looked embarassingly messy in section.
