TOTAL INSTANCES

Hi, I am a total Newby at Revit and at the Forum: Any help will be deeply appreciated.  After clicking an item, title block, the properties panel should show me how many instances of the title block are there in the project. I am trying this to find out how many drawings are there in this project. Thank you very much!

Select the item, right click and choose Select All Instances in Project.  It will show you how many of them in the Properties panel.

HI Toan,

Thank you very much!

The reason for the post is that the option you suggest is not accessible. It is shaded out. How do I make it accessible, so I can read the amount of instances?

Thanks again.

If your goal is finding out how many drawings in the file then counting the Titleblock is not the best way.  Technically speaking, a Sheet can consist more than one Titleblocks whether intentionally or by accident.

What you should be doing is:

- Look at the Project Browser > Sheets

- or, create a Sheet Index schedule
