Revit Crash, Save gave no recovery file, and journal file was no help

Hi guys,

I work in a cloud workshare file, and had a pretty bad crash. It prompted to save locally, and I did. but no local save was generated. I hunted the web for help and came across how to use the journal file to be a backup, but it said the file was "ridiculously too large". How would I be able to use the journal file correctly if a backup fails to saves again?
