repeated crashes during sync to A360

Revit has always been one of the most stable bits of software I use. After migrating projects to A360, however, I am seeing crashes nearly every time I sync with A360. "Save" works fine, it's only during sync that Revit crashes.

  • I've updated Revit to UR6 and the C4R plugin accordingly (I believe it was v3).
  • The project is on my team A360 hub, not my personal S360 hub.
  • Every once in a while sync will complete successfully.
  • I expereience the same behaviour with more than one model.

How do I go about troubleshooting this issue?

I'm experiencing the same issue. All of my changes appear to sync to central but then Revit crashes with a fatal error. This happens with every sync, even if no changes were made to the model. I've tried deleting the communicator cache but I still have the same results.

Has anyone been able to fix this?

We have a short-term fix that swaps out the application DLLs that are causing the crash.  Log a support request with us and we can provide it to you.  We are not publically posting it at this time.  Proper fix comes out in the next update to the service, which is scheduled for early March.

Sorry about this issue, we've made steps in our QA process to catch such issues in the future so they don't get out.

Kyle,

Same issue for me.  I've logged a support request, but no reply yet - can't really work, as every save to central now results in a crash.  Local saves work and it does save to central (and update changes) in A360, but crashes immediately after every single time.

Case ID:  10500883

Thanks for your help.

Update: This should be fixed in v4 of the Collaboration for Revit add-in (latest version is currently v8).

If you are seeing this behavior in the 2015 software, try loading the latest C4R add-in.
