Re: How to show Linked Revit models on A360 Viewer (free account)

Brett,

Have you ran into Revit Link problems when you link 4 or 5 Revit central files to master Revit central file where the master Revit central file is on A360 C4R and users on A360 C4R cannot see your 4 or 5 linked Revit files and you cannot see their linked Revit file?

hi John,

If you're asking if the free viewer has the ability to accept an upload from C4R, the answer is no. C4R and A360 (the paid version) are the products that work together, and not the Free Viewer currently.

What the free viewer can do is accept an upload of a single rvt file on it's own, (not linked models at this time, but that is on our roadmap for future) but not from C4R.

John, just in case i'm way off here, i'm moving this into the Revit Collab. Forum as well for that team to chime in here after we get your reply.

Thanks,

Brett,
Thanks for your reply. I didn't mean to refer to the free viewer browser, but Revit to Revit C4R over A360 paid. I haven't run into activating Revit central models of various disciplines and loading them to A360 to be linked by A360 C4R team members into their activated model. ie. Architectural linking Mechanical and Structural models and Mechanical linking Architectural models and Structural linking Architectural and Mechanical models. I am testing this and have not run into a problem as yet. Has anyone had problems with this?

Hi, John,

I'm Judy, a Revit specialist, and I've been looking at your question about linked models in C4R. I'm a little unclear about your question. Your latest post says you haven't run into a problem yet, so I'm not quite sure how I can help you. Can you clarify what it is you are asking about? Have you encountered a problem since your last post? Please let me know and I'll be happy to help if there's an issue to be troubleshot. If you can include screenshots of the issue, if there is one, that will help me understand what the problem is and help find a way to resolve it.

Cheers,

Folks,

This regression is now fixed, and A360 Viewing of Cloud Workshared models is now as-expected.  Model Sizes are also being reported properly.

Re-publishing your Cloud Workshared models will result in a fix for your team, and you should be back up and running with this feature.  Apologies again for the resolution time on our end.
