Model Upgrade (Bug?)

Hey All,

Came across this just now.

When opening a file (no central file) in 2015 when 2015 and 2016 are installed via the 2015rvt image attached, the message appears (2016rvt image attached) where Revit 2016 attempts to upgrade the model. Anyone else come across this?? Seems like a bit of a bug to me.

Cheers,

Regards,
Lewis

It's not a bug, but more so the way you're opening the model.

Although you are right-clicking the Revit 2015 shortcut to get the previous opened models, when the file is selected it will call up the last used version of Revit.

Instead, open the application first and use open to open the file.

Thanks Darin. Guessing it opens via the default Revit program then.

Yes - standard practice is to open up the Revit program then find the file but this is a template I'm dealing with so kind of an exception to the rule 🙂

Cheers

Lewis
