Loss of connection to A360

In the last couple of days, we have had issues with the connection to A360 with two users. On my machine, more times than not when I go to open a project from BIM 360 Team, nothing comes up. The computer working symbol comes up and just churns until I hit cancel. If I then log out of A360, close communicator, and then log back on, It seems to fix it. But this is a hassle to do everytime I open a project.

The other issue that has just seemed to start happening the last day or two is while we are working in the project, we lose connection and cannot connect to the central model. We then have to log out save locally and open the project back up again.

Hello Shawn,

My name is Deion from Autodesk Technical Support and I will be helping you with this issue. I was able to review the Autodesk Health website and it seems that Collaboration for Revit was down on March 29th. That seems to be around the time you were having this issue however everything seems to be up and running now. I wanted to know if you were still experiencing this issue.

The connection seems to be more stable now. It seems if I have been logged in for a few hours, the connection is more likely to drop out. I also saw another post regarding working on in another Revit version, the connection is lost which seems to have occurred to me yesterday. I had a project open in Revit 2017 BIM 360 and opened a separate Revit 2016 model to do some quick changes. When I got back to the 2017 project, the connection was lost to the central model and I had to log out and log back into my account.

Hi, Shawn,

I'm Judy, a Revit support specialist. I see you've been having trouble with your connection to A360 while using two different versions of Revit. If the two versions of Revit have different serial numbers (which would be the case if you have a perpetual license with maintenance), the first version silently logs you out when you log in with the second version. Does this apply to your situation? Please let me know either way; I'm happy to assist you.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
