Local File Resides in Central Model Location

Hello All,

I keep seeing this warning that I have not seen before:

The local user file belonging to "user" has been copied or moved to the location of the central model.

Any ideas as to why this is happening and solutions is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Someone saved their local file over the central file?

In order to do so wouldn't the user have to do a 'save as' and save over the central file?

Yes.

To check:  close your file, open the "central " file again and see if the Create a New local option available.

No it is not available. I am in a different city than the user and initially thought it was a pathing  issue as I do not have access directly to the drive it is saved on in their office.

But now I'm seeing the same warning from a user in that office working directly on the server the model is saved on. Will ask her if she did a "save as".

thanks for your response

Good day,

I'm running into this issue with a user in our office. I've gone in, detached, saved as a new central, and tested it on my machine and theirs. Changes were saved without issue. The next day, the user encountered the same issue. I detached and saved as a new central, all good. It's now happening again. I confirmed and watched the user - they did not save over the central and opened it as a local user. What is going on? Any help would be appreciated.
