While managing a central model in Revit, we have repeatedly encountered the same issue: a project member makes changes to the central model but is unable to synchronize. Revit indicates that the same user has not yet released the modified elements or worksets. In the central model, two users with similar but not identical names appear, both referring to the same person. It seems that the user is blocking themselves.
Logging out and then logging back in with the same user and forcing the release of objects or changes directly from Revit's home screen resolves the issue. However, we would like to better understand the cause of this situation.
