Install Revit and then Navisworks

Hi Everyone,

I recently had encountered lot of questions about their Revit doesn't have Add-ins to export to Navisworks.

I would like to share this information even though this might be known to many of us.

To have the Navisworks add-ins installed in revit you must install Revit first and then Navisworks.

if you have already installed, try to reinstall Navisworks manage and navisworks exporter using Control Panel.

Hi;

I installed Revit 2016 for my staff quite some time ago, Revit 2017 only recently.  I've been keeping them updated.  This week I have been loading Navisworks Manage, 2016 first and then 2017.

One of my engineers, who just received a new computer, called to complain that now his Revit 2016 is only showing the plug-in for exporting to Navis 2016.  He is telling me that on his old computer Revit 2016 could also export to additional versions of Navisworks (2015, 2014)

I have gone through a repair and reinstall of both the 2015 and 2016 exporters via the control panel. I also downloaded and saved the exporters from Autodesk's website, then reinstalled.  I'm still not seeing multiple export formats.

Any other suggestions, or is he just imagining that he could export to multiple versions?

Thanks
