How to recover/sync changes from saved "local" Revit file in BIM360

We are working on a large Revit model with up to 20 users at times.  Constant syncing is not realistic since it slows down the model for everyone involved.

Pre-BIM360 our protocol would be to save the local file often, and sync to central as needed.  When the model crashes, the user can go back into their saved local and sync.

How can that process be replicated in BIM360?  If users click the save button as they would in a non-BIM360 project, and the model later crashes, can they go into the Collaboration Cache folder, open their "local", and sync?  Or is that risky in any way?

Hello.
Your BIM360 local copy from Collaboration Cache folder works the same as usual local copy. (The difference is only that the name of the project and local file in folder is "encrypted")
You can save your file between the
synchronizations. Even if file crashes and saved changes were not synchronized, Revit will ask you next opening:
Capture.JPG

So you can keep your changes and synchronize.

if you do not get this dialog when reopening after a crash is there a way to load local saves? or does that mean all your local saves were done for nothing?

Thanks.

If you do not get this dialog, try to search your local file here: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 20XX\CollaborationCache

Thanks for the reply.
So if I crash out, I can open this file and be able to sync it to the central model on 360?
