Download Published Model

Hello Answer Day!

What get's included in the zip file when a team member downloads a published model?

Only the published model itself or all of the links of the model too?

thank you.

hi Michael,

All the files are downloaded within the zip file as separate files.

Thanks,

hi Michael,

What do you mean by "unloaded"?

We have a condition where; before we publish, we're unloading all links in certain models before we publish to BIM360, as in the following example:

Host-Model w/ linked models

- model_a.rvt

- model_b.rvt

- model_c.rvt

model_b contains links within itself but linked in Host-Model as Overlay.

We unload all links, then sync, then publish.

When the model is downloaded, the zip file still contains the host-model + the links a-c (ok) and, the links of model_b, even through it's unlinked and linked-in as an overlay (not so ok).

is it possible to not have the nested links (such as in the example of 'model_b') contained in the download process and zip file?

hi Michael,

I'm going to move this over into the C4R Forum for my colleague Adam to assist you on your question since specific to that product and not just within BIM 360 Team.

Sorry i didn't pick up on that earlier.

stay tuned,

Thanks,
