Connecting to BIM 360 slow in Revit 2018

Having trouble connecting to Revit 2018.  User has BIM 360 Design license.  But when opening Revit and selecting the BIM Revit Server location, the program hangs up and says Loading... in the Open dialog box.  Revit 2020 seems to perform quicker.  But the work they are doing needs to be in 2018.  Is there some update or settings we can check?

Hi @Jroper,

A few questions to narrow the scope of the issue:

  • Does the user see the Revit projects on the BIM 360 website?
  • Are the projects on BIM 360 Teams or BIM 360 Document Managemnet?
  • Is the user on the latest build of Revit 2018 (2018.3.3.)?
  • Does the module eventually load for them or does it always remain as "loading?"
  • Did it ever work for them?

Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi @Jroper,

How are you today? I was wondering if you've had a chance to check into some of the questions I posed. I wondered whether an update to Revit 2018 was available to you and if that solved the issue?

Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.
