Cloud Worksharing Operations are Down - 7/24/2018

Revit Cloud Worksharing is currently degraded.  Some users may be experiencing problems with worksharing operations.  We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. As part of restoration the service some users may experience a temporary interruption on the order of 2-10 minutes.

Update:

Revit Cloud Worksharing is currently unavailable. Users may not be able to sign in or access projects. We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.
We will provide updates once the issue is resolved. If you have any questions, please check this post for further assistance.

Hello,

Is there an estimated timeframe as to when will this be fixed? Have a couple of deadlines for today and I can't even open the file to print.

Best regard.

We have updated the title to down to reflect the current status.

The team is actively engaged and we are working on rebooting the services to restore service availability.

We hope to have more information to share shortly.

back up in VA.

I'm glad this isn't a critical service that people rely on 24/7, oh wait, never mind...

Downtime is unacceptable...  Autodesk needs to develop a seamless backup system for this service!

Message 12 of 21

Revit Cloud Worksharing is now fully operational.

Please retry your operations.

We apologize for this outage.

17 out of 204 days so far in 2018 the Autodesk Cloud worksharing has been down or degraded (according to Autodesk's health dashboard). This is 8.33% of the days in 2018 there has been an issue with the could worksharing service.

We have seen several of these down times over an hour in length. For us the majority of the degraded status days have been down days for our offices (we have offices throughout the county). From what I have witnessed this service is now in 2N territory for reliability, where every other providers critical service is at a minimum of 3N... with many 4N+.  the difference between 2N and 4N reliability is a difference of 86.5 hours downtime in a year.

Autodesk really needs to address the reliability of this service and bring it up to at least 3N, with most downtime of that downtime off peak to even be respectable. If this poor performance continues the larger companies, and those on large projects will use other options to collaborate and share Revit projects.

has the problem been solved?

There is an Idea someone posted a few weeks back for an offline mode / cloud sync workflow to allow users to keep working and sync their changes when the service comes back online.

I'm surprised it doesn't have any votes yet given the feedback in this and other posts.

But the whole point of revit is that it needs to be connected to all operates at all times if your working offline then you could easily have 5 people all change the same thing without any warnings then when you do come online & sync how on earth is revit supposed to know what to do? it will just corrupt the model & will lose work anyway.

That's the point of the submitted Idea, to have a backup method of working offline that allows for a managed method of resyncing the changes.
Having even just a single user being able to work offline is better than nothing.
