Can not use Autodesk Viewer to fully see a Revit file...

The engineer who is doing a project for me gave me a Revit file to view using the Autodesk Viewer.

I can see what is in the Sheets, but the 3D model is empty on what I see.

Using Windows 10 and Firefox.    Any ideas?

thanks,

John

Hi @johnPG you might have to ask the Engineer to follow this
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Autodesk-Viewer-sh...

The best solution is to contact the engineer who provided the file. They can:

  • Publish a default 3D view that includes the necessary geometry.
  • Include and publish any linked files.
  • If it's a Cloud model, they can download the model and its linked files locally and send them to you.

Please let me know if this works. Thank you.

Thank you.

Prateek -

thanks for the suggestion.  Do you think the root cause is some of the associated files were missing?

It will take me a little while to try this out.

thanks,

John

@johnPG yes, that is what it seems like the right files need to be published in order to see the model. There should also be the Default 3D view from Revit.

Thank you.
