C4R Syncing Status Not Shown

Hi Everyone,

 

Thanks for checking this post!

 

I run a team of 8 guys and they can see who is currently syncing to central, when they're done, etc, but I can't see that.

 

All I can see is who is currently in the model.

 

Is there a setting in Revit to show this status information?

 

It would be really good to hear back from someone, as I need to better coordinate my syncs with my team.

Hi @achoiK8YWX,

 

You can track and Review sync activity for workshared models in the Communicator for Revit window.

Thanks for helping out with this. I noticed the same day when I first posted, the Communicator was working better and actually showing sync statuses. I did suspect someone over at Autodesk must have done some fixing because my user name is public. Thanks again.

 

However, the sync status is not live. For example, I synced with central an hour ago, yet the status on my timeline is still showing "Syncing now ..."

 

This is the same for other users displayed on my timeline window. When they're done syncing, it doesn't show their status; it continues to show they're syncing.

 

My other colleagues don't have this problem on their machines. They can see exactly when anyone started and finished syncing - they get live updates.

I understand this is happening only on your machine. 

Interesting. 

 

I am not sure at the moment what this can be, but I am wondering if it helps if you delete all files in the collaboration cache folder as follows:

 

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\<Autodesk Revit Version>\CollaborationCache 

 

If it doesn´t help, please, let me know and reproduce the issue for collecting diagnostic data on your computer as described here: 

Revit - Collecting and sending diagnostic data to Autodesk Technical ...

 

Also: Make sure the send the log file created in the following folder as well: 

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Communicator\Logs
