C4R Project Accessing Panel Slow

Recently when a user clicks on a panel or any electrical equipment that has elements circuited to it, it completely slows down the model. The wheel just spins and spins. Eventually it gives you control of the panel, but it can take minutes. Any idea why this would be happening? Any solutions?

Thanks

Hi @timmyt21,

I saw you haven´t received any feedback from the Community for a longer time.

Is this issue still present?

I was wondering if I could take a look at your project file. I understand if you wouldn´t want to share your project file with the whole community.

Feel free to let me know, if you would prefer to continue troubleshooting this issue in the support case which was generated for you from the forum.

I´d be happy to help.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Hi @timmyt21, hi Community members,

Thank you for your patience while I was working on this case investigating the model `timmyt21` has provided me.

I was able to reproduce the issue with that model stored locally on my computer - so the issue is related to the model and not to Collaboration for Revit.

Trying to upgrade the model to Revit 2018 or regenerating the model elements did not take care of the issue, so I went on and started an investigation with the product design and development team in order to identify and eventually fix the root cause of this issue.

The current status is the investigation is published here:

Revit is slow when accessing an electrical panel in the model

This link will be active in a couple of hours and will get updated with news about the investigation as soon as those are available.

This way anyone interested in this issue will be able to follow up on the status of this case.

In order to point other users with the same question to this link, I will go ahead and mark this as a solution for now, but I encourage further discussions in this thread related to the topic .

Best regards,
