C4R-A360 Open Dialog - List Details Column

Is there a way to see the file-info-column from the revit 'Open dialog' when opening a .rvt from A360?

Currently, when 'details' is listed from the Views option, we don't see anything. We should be able to see that info here;

Thank you!

The file info columns (e.g. Name, Date Modified, Assistant’s name, 35mm focal length, etc.) are generated by the Windows operating system.

However, when accessing the Collaboration for Revit service, the dialog is not interacting with a local Windows file. This would explain why we see different behavior.

You should also find that you can't right click on the models to change their name, or delete them like you can with local files.

If there is a specific property that you would like to see (in the open dialog), you can make the recommendation to our developers using the following link:

thanks and will do.

although hopefully this shouldn't be too much of a stretch to get it in.

if a360 is running SMB (i.e. samba?) it would be a matter of editing the smb.conf file, if i remember correctly.

thanks though.

As far as I know Revit would be using SMB for file-based worksharing, but this would not be used for Revit Server (TCP port 808) or Collaboration for Revit (TCP port 443) communication.

The tooltip on the recent files list shows this info but the file size is about half of what the A360 uploaded shows

I suspect that the tooltip is referring to the locally cached model (this could explain why there is a discrepency in size as the locally cached model could be stored in a different format from the server).

The address "a360://Project/Model" doesn't correspond to an actual location, but tells you that you are looking at a C4R (Collaboration for Revit) model.

The creation and maintenance of local cached data is done in the background (without user interaction).

I just looked at the local cache model and that is what the tootip is seeing, interesting that it's half the size of the exported model. There is another folder with the same time stamp that contains a bunch of .rws files. That folder size plus the local model equals about the exported file size on A360.

Guess it doesn't matter how the voodoo works, I'm amazed that it works as well as it does

Did something change? I just published to A360 and the file size is half of what it used to be

The compact option was enabled in a prior update. If someone were to compact (during the synchronize process) publishing the updated model could cause a reduction in size.
