Autodesk Docs project missing when accessing from Revit 2021

Hi Everyone,

I am facing this problem to find one of my Autodesk Doc's projects in Revit 2021, BIM 360 for cloud collaboration. All other projects are available except one project. Does anyone know what wrong I am doing in this particular project in order to see in Revit 2021?

I am using Revit 2021.1.6 and the latest desktop connector.

All cloud models are upgraded to 2021.

One thing I would suggest is to double check the version of this Autodesk Docs project. You can check this via the cloud model upgrade service page.

Hi Jade,

So far all my projects files are having the same software version so the file version is not an issue I think.

Actually I can see all my projects in Revit 2022, but in Revit 2021 only this one project is not visible.

Hello @ashwaniHBLB9,

Another thing to check for is unusual characters in the project name (non alpha-numeric).

The following article has more information on troubleshooting this behavior: BIM 360 projects are missing when accessing from Revit

Hi @Lance.Coffey,
There are no unusual characters in the project name, in fact, all our project names follow the same standards. I also tried to use Autodesk troubleshooting options from that link you provided, but still no success.

Hi @ashwaniHBLB9

I am trying to understand this issue better.

  • When is this project missing? Can it work in earlier versions?
  • Are you leverage the cloud model upgrade service for upgrade?
  • Do other collaborators see this project in their R2021?

Hi Jade,
- I recently noticed this issue. We start all our projects with Autodesk Docs for CDE and in this project, I have one team working from another location (same in Singapore) so we have to start using Cloud Worksharing, and at that time I noticed that this project is not available on Revit 2021.
- There is no working cloud model in this project, only uploaded files through the browser.
- In my team, No one can see this project in Revit 2021.

Thanks for rely @ashwaniHBLB9

Is it something you see when check the cloud model upgrade service?  I still suspect the project version is somehow not 2021 any more.

I think I figure out the trick then.

I guess there should be a cloud model uploaded via Revit 2022 so that you can't see it in Revit 2021.

Can you please try if you can see this project in Revit 2022?

Yes, that's true. I can see this project in Revit 2022. But how to find which model Revit 2022 file.?

Actually, there is no Revit Cloud Model in this project. We only have Revit files that were uploaded to Autodesk Docs using the web interface or Desktop Connector.

>>>But how to find which model Revit 2022 file?

Please browse this project in Revit home and see if there is any cloud model displayed. (models uploaded from DC/Web won't be displayed there.)

There is no a good way to tell a model in BIM 360 Docs is a cloud model uploaded from Revit or uploaded from DC/Web.

In Revit 2022, I can see the Project folder but I can't see any project file because all uploaded Revit files are in 2019 or 2021 and those are not Revit Cloud Model.
And Revit 2021, I cant see this entire Project folder.

You may refer to docs log to figure out if someone upload a model from Revit 2022.

I don't think out an easy way to degrade the version from 2022 to 2021 so that you work it with Revit 2021.

Create a new project could help here.
