Create a parameter - For Air Flow rules

Dear Srs,

I tried to create a parameter in order to assign for specific class of use in any room a related-.specific value of air flow/ for person taken from  a  UNI schedule; but in order to applyi it in Revit, I need to understand how correctly I have to type it between parameters, since, REvit gives me back as uncorrect, syntax. How to create the right funtion to link Text and parameters in this case?

below the screenshot

Best regards, thank you.

Hello,

AFAIK, formulas do not work in tags.

So which would be the next step to assign a specific value with IF ( and ...)? other way?

My apologies for any language barriers.

It sounds like you are attempting to assign a ventilation air per person requirement to an area in the project.

Rooms (found in Architecture tab) do not typically carry this information - Rooms are mainly used for architecture-related parameters

Spaces (found in Analyze tab) can carry this information. The Space Type parameter brings up Space Type settings, which can be defined with a number of values, including ventilation air:

Unfortunately, this would mean having to transfer your UNI sheet values into this Space Type Settings format. This can be done manually, with some third-party addins, and with Dynamo. Once done, you would have this for any future projects as well.

If you still want to use calculated parameters, you should know that you cannot check string text in Revit parameter formulas. So     [if(Parameter="VALUE",A,B)]        is not valid.
