Glass rendering pixelated or 'noisy' instead of transparent

I have been fiddling with the different transparency and reflective qualities of the glass in my model, but it keeps rendering pixelated or 'noisy' looking no matter what setting (it's just the standard revit glass, not frosted glass).  I've attached an image.  The glass in the building model is fine, it's just the structure inside the courtyard that's not working, not sure why.

Where do you find Bump Properties?  Here are a couple screen shots of my Material Browser.  I was just using the standard Revit glass material, I haven't attached any images.

Maybe You have used Paint by face option and painted with frosted glass.

You can use the Remove Paint option from Modify panel ..Paint by face ... and click on any face to see if it changes.

Alternatively , Paint by face the 'clear glass material' and check the render.

Tried the remove paint suggestion to no avail.  I even tried creating a new extrusion and it still came out the same so it must be something within the material itself.

  • Sometimes 2 objects in the same place gives noise. Guessing...
  • Change the material to any other than glass and see if noise repeats on that too.
  • Cut and paste the objects in another file and check the render

Finally got it fixed.

So it looks like I had the subcategory glass selected in the Identity Data, which is where I was doing all my adjustments, but the actual Material hadn't been selected under Materials and Finishes in the Properties manager... yeesh. (Newbie)

Thank you for your help!
