Zoom in and out using a touchpad/trackpad in Revit 2017/2018

Good morning, we have a user who is unable to use a normal mouse and is trying to use a multi-touch track pad instead. Pinch zoom, 2 finger zoom in and out, works in other apps and web browsers but not Revit 2017/2018 (also BlueBeam 2017). Any idea why that might be or how to make Revit zoom in on a multi toucpad?

Please, make sure that a driver for the Touchpad (in case available) is installed and updated. 

Check settings (if available for the hardware)

Click ctrl+the middle button at the bottom of touch pad+roll up or down at touch pad to zoom in or out
