I cannot insert families or import other items from our office network without getting the error "You do not have access rights to 'filename'. See your administrator for access to this folder."
There are multiple versions of Revit on my machine and the error happens on all of them. I have another computer at home with access to the office network and the error occurs there also. The only way to get around this is to first copy files to the hard drive or a separate external drive then insert into the Revit file. That fix works but it is very inconvenient to have to do this all the time. Not to mention the fact that it should not be having this problem in the first place.
I have been using Revit for more than ten years and I have never had this issue until now. It seems to be tied to me as a user since it happens no matter what machine I am logged into.
Does anyone have a clue how to fix this problem?
this is an IT issue seems like
you do not have access to this folder
Have your IT check your folder permissions in windows
