Hello,
I have a problem with my window family with wrapping the exterior wall.
It does work perfectly fine when the door is in the default orientation.
But it does not wrap when the door is flipped.
Can anyone tell me how or why it is not working when flipped.

The flipping control just helps you to position the window according to the interior/exterior side of the wall. But, the reversed window still needs to be defined as a different family. This is because the family itself has its exterior and interior side.

Have you got one of the Reference Planes in the family set to be the "Wall Closure" line?
It looks like this when flipped, this Plane moves to the front so the outer wall layers do not wrap backwards as they are already on / behind this line?

This is a screenshot of the autodesk window family template. Apparently, the family has to assume wall orientation.

So if I understand this correctly, you say I have to make a separate family for the flipped window?
Yes. This goes for windows and the exterior doors. You don't have to do this for the interior doors.
