I downloaded a module course file to learn workset and practice but when syncing the model after creating workset it says the cetral model does not exist at the path you provided. the central model has been deleted or moved.
when I am trying to open it from revit the create a local copy option isw grayed out.

Try opening from Revit again and check the "detach from central". Then do a "save as" to recreate the central file.

Then close the file and reopen from Revit. The create local file should checked now.

Open file as @Mike.FORM mentioned above. Save as to create new central model, (don't forget to mark in Options "Make this a Central Model after save").

If this happens when working in local file use "Change path to Central Model file"

just Save As again and use the Option to make your model as central model:
