Workset & Phase settings lost when linked RVT is bound

When I bind a linked RVT model, the elements do not come in onto the same workset in which they were drawn, they are assigned to the workset that the link was on.  Similarly, if those elements were drawn as 'existing' phase, when I bind the RVT link, I was in a view with Phase 1 as current, all of the elements came in on Phase 1, not Existing, as they were drawn.

Are there any settings I'm missing that would preserve the objects as they were correctly drawn instead of assigning them to whatever settings are current?

Cheers,

Dustin

Unfortunately bound elements always come in the active Phase. I haven't look into worksets yet but I am afraid they share the same fate.

Hi @dtiemeyer

This is correct; the binding of a link is essentially a copy and paste and it will use the active workset and current view phase.
