Hi everybody,
I have a question regarding the phases in Revit.
I am currently working on a refurbishment Project. The task was to build all existing elements and then demolish what should be demolished as well as draw new elements. Mainly walls so let's just focus on walls for now.
Now some new walls (Presented with red filling) are either crossing or running parallel to the demolished walls (Filled with yellow hatch) . This is how it is intended to be from a design point of view.
The issue is I could not find any way to say to Revit to keep consistent when presenting the new wall or to adjust/configure the way Revit shows these walls clearly. Sometimes, Demolished walls are overlapping the new/existing walls ( a thin new wall drawn over a thick demolished wall will only show the demolished yellow wall)!
I attached a screen shot for more clarification.
is there is a way to solve this issue in Revit without having to modify the walls by cutting or joining...etc. ?
I appreciate your help!

@ToanDN quick question, since this is something that I am attempting to do at my end to make New Construction walls 'pop' more than Existing walls. Filtering New Construction walls by adding a Comment is doable. My question - is there any way to build the Comment value (or possibly, a Shared Parameter value) in to all walls, so that the filter can do its thing without any further effort?
Thank you very much for your help!
I was hoping there is another way than using the transparent method to do this. I was under the impression that Revit automatically present overlapped walls in a more readable way.
The problem with the transparent is that I have to change the light yellow colour to a darker yellow tone to make sure it's still recognized when at the printed plan.

Welcome to workaround Revit ![]()
Another way could be not to use solid pattern for the new walls. Than i think its working like intended.
