I am suddenly unable to save or synchronise my local file after it having worked fine all day. I get the following error message:
[filename] already exists. If you replace it, you will lose all of its backup versions. Do you want to replace the existing file?
I presume that I simply hit 'yes' and this new local file will save over my last local file. But is someone able to explain to me why this is happening? I have not come across this issue before.
Thanks for any help in advance!
It sounds like you are trying to save your local file over a central file. Click on the Options button in the Save As dialog and make sure [Make this a Central Model after save] is NOT ticked, then save the file over you existing local file, not the central file.
Many thanks for your reply ToanDN, but I am not saving over the central file (which has a different file name on a separate server) - I did check previously that the box was unchecked in the save as options. Like I said, I am confused as synchronisation was fine the entire day up until that point. I believe that we may be having some server issues and I am wondering if somehow my local file dropped off the network and consequently Revit doubled up the file? Is that possible?
