Wire Mesh Railing

Hi, I'm making a wire mesh panel railing to use with our stair railings. I know how cumbersome Revit railings get and there are not enough resources out of the box on how to create these..

Is there a way to create this so that the bottom of the panel will constrain on the bottom rail instead of going over? I tried creating the panel as a baluster but the spacing is really difficult to adjust and I couldn't get the right number. I tried to do a lot of trial and errors.

If I place this railing on a flat plane, it looks correct. Its just that if its hosted on a stair, it doesn't seem to work correctly because the wire mesh panel is not constrained to the bottom rail.

I hope there's a work around that is doable.

Thanks!

Here's a very good reference to guide you.  Study it.

...this might be of assistance as well:

Out of curiosity, what does the "Base" read for your Panels under Edit Baluster Placement Dialog?

...actually, just post your file. I might have a quick fix for you.

Did you choose Stringer when placing the railing on the Stair?

I do not have the panels placed in the Edit Baluster Placement.

I had them placed under Edit Rail Structure.

Upon looking at the link that you sent over, I think I need to create a panel family and split the railings because I had them continuous. The tutorial sounds like a solution for me.

I did try this also. It created the same look. I have to adjust the family that I have since I created the panels under Edit Rail Structure and I have to break apart the railing that I created into separate types. I'll take a deep dive with the link that barthbradley sent over but I think that may be a solution for me.

FWIW: Here's an approach you might prefer over Panels.

I tried to give this a shot but I cannot seem to make the "Fascia Flat" profile to show up even on a new model.
Dumb question, how did you get that to work?

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you.  I thought that Screenshot might, after I posted it.

Basically, what I did in a hurry, was select the Fascia Profile in the Project Browser, right-click and press Edit.  Then in the Family, I change the Profile Type to "Generic" and then reloaded it into the Project.  Next, I created a new Fascia Type that had the cross-sectional dimensions I wanted for the Rail Panel.  Finally, I loaded the Profile into the Railing dialog box as shown in my screenshot above.

Here's the Type Properties of the Fascia I created to be used for the Railing:
