dealing with curtain walls.
I want to dimension the curtain wall relative to the walls of the room it finds itself within. If I create a dimension from the wall to the curtain wall, this dimension generally doesn't allow me to resize the curtain wall. For instance, if I want the curtain wall window to be 1.5' away from the inner edge of the wall, I would ideally palce a dimensino there and then adjust the dimension to gain the exact spacing. I can't do this though. I oftne try to move the blue dimensions that seem to be on the curtain wall by default but most often these don't snap to anything. My current workaround is to create model lines, place them where they need to be and then align the curtain wall to the model line. Obviously this is a pain. How can I do this?
Extending the question. I often run into the issue of having to space an object using dimensions and the dimensions not being responsive. What causes this. What's the rule that determines whether the dimension is dynamic or static?
